Free trial lessonAttend the mandatory Road Awareness Course (VKU) as early as possible.
The VKU is mandatory after passing your theory test. We recommend completing it early in your training, ideally before your first driving lessons, because it gives you important practical foundations for everyday driving.
How the Road Awareness Course is structured
The course includes 2 x 4 lessons.
In the VKU, you train road awareness, hazard perception and correct reactions in a group.
You'll also find useful tips on vehicle maintenance and what to do in case of accidents.
At the end, you receive the course confirmation for your driver training.

Part 1: Road awareness
Learn to correctly assess situations in road traffic and recognize hazards in advance. We start with traffic safety theory and the functioning of human sensory organs.
