What Data We Process
Contact and registration forms: name, email address, phone number, street address, postal code and city, requested service, category, preferred date, your message, and – if uploaded – a photo of your learner's permit.
First aid course (Nothelferkurs): title, first and last name, address, email address, phone number, date of birth, and any notes.
Basic motorcycle course (PGS) and traffic theory course (VKU): additionally your permit number (FABER-PIN), date of birth, and – if uploaded – a photo of your learner's permit.
When visiting the website, technical data is collected (e.g. IP address, browser, pages viewed, time of access).
What We Use It For
To respond to your inquiries, deliver your driving lessons and courses, send email confirmations, register your PGS and VKU courses with the official authorities, operate and improve the website, and measure our advertising.
Sharing with Third Parties
For PGS and VKU courses, we transmit your permit number and date of birth to SARI, the course management system of the road traffic authorities (vku-pgs.asa.ch), as registration is mandatory there. We also work with service providers who process data on our behalf: hosting and database (Google Cloud, MongoDB Atlas), email delivery (Twilio SendGrid), and the analytics and advertising services mentioned below. Data is not shared for their own advertising purposes.
Processing Abroad
Some of these service providers (e.g. Google, Twilio SendGrid, Meta) may also process data in the USA or other countries. We rely on recognized safeguards such as the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising
We use Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and Google Ads (including conversion tracking) as well as – if activated – the Meta Pixel. This helps us track how the website is used and which ads lead to inquiries and bookings. Upon booking, your email address and phone number may be sent in hashed format to Google ("enhanced conversions"). You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time.
Embedded Content and WhatsApp
Instructional videos are embedded via YouTube and maps via Google Maps; when played or loaded, these providers receive data such as your IP address. If you contact us via WhatsApp, WhatsApp (Meta) processes your message under its own privacy terms.
Retention Period
We keep your data as long as necessary for the specified purposes or as required by law (e.g. statutory 10-year business record retention requirements).
Your Rights
You can request information about your data, have it corrected or deleted, object to its processing, or request its transfer at any time – simply send an email to info@driveplus.ch. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC/EDÖB).
