How the Motorcycle Basic Course (PGS) is structured

The course includes 3 modules of 4 hours each.

In the motorcycle basic course, you learn key foundations for safe riding in a group.

You also get practical tips on vehicle maintenance, safety and what to do in case of accidents.

At the end of the course, you'll receive the confirmation required for your practical riding test.

Price: CHF 540 total / CHF 180 per module

Motorcycle Basic Course 1
Practical basic training for motorcyclists (Basic Course 1) for safe vehicle handling and fundamental motorcycle operation.

Correct vehicle operation rules / Potential hazards when starting and stopping.

Lane positioning, correct gaze techniques, and learning and practicing relevant maneuvers, including safe stopping from urban speeds.

Purposeful and safe turning in traffic is also part of this course.
Motorcycle Basic Course 2
Practical basic training for motorcyclists (Basic Course 2), focusing on riding in traffic and mastering it correctly and safely.

We start the course in the theory room to discuss questions and issues from Basic Course 1.

The main focus is on turning and riding curves. Braking from various speeds will be practised on the training ground.

Finally, what you've learned will be applied during a practice ride in real traffic.

Starting on a hill and riding in a group are also part of this course section.
Motorcycle Basic Course 3
Practical basic training for motorcyclists (Basic Course 3) focusing on cornering and riding practice outside urban areas.

Basic Course 3 starts in the theory room, where we cover and practice the fundamentals of cornering, braking techniques, speeds, mountain roads, and gaze techniques.

Afterwards, we will apply and optimize what we've learned on a private area and later on public roads.
