Führerausweis auf Probe

Um den unbefristeten Führerausweis zu erhalten muss innerhalb der ersten 12 Monate 1 Weiterausbildungskurs besucht werden. Nach Ablauf der Probezeit wird Ihnen der definitive Führerausweis direkt durch das Strassenverkehrsamt Ihres Wohnsitzkantons zugestellt.

Subcategory A1

A motorcycle of subcategory A1 without a sidecar with a maximum speed of more than 30 km/h. If the practical test is taken after your 16th birthday with a motorcycle limited to 45 km/h, you may only ride such motorcycles. The 45 km/h restriction will also be noted on your license.

Motorcycle-specific Safety Equipment

For the driving test, you must wear motorcycle-specific safety equipment (helmet, clothing, gloves, boots).

Category A1 (Subcategory)

Medical Requirements: A, A-, A1, B, B1, F/G, M

VISION

Visual Acuity

Better eye: 0.5 / Worse eye: 0.2 (measured individually) Monocular vision (incl. visual acuity of the worse eye < 0.2): 0.6

Field of Vision

Binocular Vision: Horizontal field of vision at least 120 degrees. Extension to the right and left at least 50 degrees. Extension upwards and downwards at least 20 degrees. The central field of vision must be normal up to 20 degrees. Monocular Vision: Normal field of vision with normal eye movement.

Double Vision

No restrictive double images.

Twilight Vision and Glare Sensitivity

No significant impairment of twilight vision. No significantly increased glare sensitivity.

ALCOHOL, NARCOTICS, AND PSYCHOTROPIC MEDICATIONS

No addiction. No traffic-relevant abuse.

MENTAL DISORDERS

  • No mental disorders with significant impact on realistic perception, information processing and evaluation, reaction time, and situation-appropriate behavioral control.
  • No impairment of traffic-relevant performance reserves.
  • No manic or significant depressive symptoms.
  • No significant personality disorders, especially
  • No pronounced dissocial behavioral disorders.
  • No significant intellectual disability.

ORGANIC BRAIN PERFORMANCE DISORDERS

  • No diseases or organically caused mental disorders with significant impairment of
  • Consciousness, orientation, memory, cognitive ability, reaction time, or other brain performance disorder.
  • No manic or significant depressive symptoms.
  • No traffic-relevant behavioral disorders.
  • No impairment of traffic-relevant performance reserves.

NEUROLOGICAL DISEASES

  • No diseases or consequences of injuries or operations of the central or peripheral nervous system with significant impact on the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
  • No disturbances or loss of consciousness. No balance disorders.

CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES

  • No diseases with an increased risk of episodic pain, fainting spells, reduced cerebral blood flow with performance limitations or changes in consciousness, or other permanent or episodic impairments of general well-being.
  • No significant blood pressure anomaly.

METABOLIC DISEASES

  • In case of diabetes mellitus, stable blood sugar control without traffic-relevant hypo- or hyperglycemia must be present.
  • No other metabolic diseases with significant impact on the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.

DISEASES OF RESPIRATORY AND ABDOMINAL ORGANS

No diseases with increased daytime sleepiness and no other diseases or limitations that affect the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.

DISEASES OF THE SPINE AND MUSCULOSKELETAL SYSTEM

No malformations, diseases, paralyses, consequences of injuries or operations with significant impact on the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle that cannot be sufficiently corrected by aids.

Are you ready for the test?

Three things need to be right on exam day: your equipment, your riding skills, and your motorcycle. Go through the list before you sign up.

The basic course is not exam preparation – you need more for exam success!

Is your equipment ready?

  • Approved safety helmet

    According to UNECE Regulation 22, with visor or glasses.

  • Motorcycle jacket

    Made from abrasion- and tear-resistant material, with impact protection.

  • Motorcycle gloves

    Made from abrasion- and tear-resistant material.

  • Motorcycle pants

    Made from abrasion- and tear-resistant material, with impact protection.

  • Motorcycle boots

    Or sturdy shoes that cover the ankles.

Safety classes: AAA, AA and A are allowed – B and C are not.
